Round AJ Eklipta LED wall light – can also be used as a ceiling light


The Eklipta LED wall light stands out thanks to its fascinating lighting effect. The hand-blown opal glass comprises three layers and provides an evenly illuminated surface. The clear edge around the glass creates a wonderful light aura around the light. The integrated LEDs can be dimmed using a wall switch when combined with a Triac leading edge dimmer.

The design for the AJ Eklipta wall light, which was designed by Arne Jacobsen, dates back to 1959. AJ Eklipta was designed for the town hall in Rødovre, with diameters of 35 cm and 45 cm. This smaller model with 22 cm diameters was created for St Catherine’s College in Great Britain. AJ Eklipta is now considered to be an architectural triumph across the world.

Arne Jacobsen is known across the globe as a modernist architect. He didn’t just design buildings, such as the first airport in Copenhagen; he also cared about the details and designed lights, cutlery, door handles, bathroom fittings, fabrics and wallpaper. The "Egg” and “Swan” are two world-famous chairs designed by Arne Jacobsen.

The Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen, whose main objective is to provide attractive lights that lend light form, has fitted the Eklipta wall light with a modern, energy-efficient LED light bulb.
