LED pendant light AJ Royal - timeless dome shade with diffuser and indirect additional light Simple, clear form and colour, with functionality always in mind - the Scandinavian genes of the AJ Royal pendant light are unmistakable. Above private living and dining room tables as well as in cafés or hotels, AJ Royal is an equally effective and stylish light source. The dome-shaped lampshade is made of aluminium and has a single-colour wet lacquer finish on the outside. The lower opening is closed by a diffuser made of matt acrylic so that the light from the LEDs is spread evenly. This provides the area below with direct lighting that has a pleasantly low glare effect (UGR < 19). The upper section of the lampshade is cut out. Vertical steel rings are inserted here, which allow the light to escape upwards, creating subtle, indirect ambient lighting. The name of the pendant light bears the initials of Arne Jacobsen, the designer and architect responsible for the overall concept of the SAS Royal (Radisson) Hotel in Copenhagen, for which he also designed the AJ Royal series in 1960. With the AJ Royal LED pendant light, Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen offers a modern interpretation of the AJ pendant light, some of which can still be admired today in the Copenhagen Hotel in the original copper and stainless steel versions operated with traditional light bulbs - externally dimmable via phase cut-on and phase cut-off
