Louis Poulsen Cirque hanging lamp, red, 38 cm

Colourful Cirque pendant light - imaginatively designed designer light Cirque - which means circus - is the name designer Clara von Zweigbergk gave her light series, which she created in collaboration with the traditional company Louis Poulsen (founded in 1874). And the colourful light with its eye-catching form is reminiscent of a circus or a colourful circus tent, a rotating carousel on its grounds and colourful balloons. The designer was inspired to create the special colour gradation by the perception of colour in circular motion, whereby colours are often perceived as continuous lines. The Cirque designer pendant light cannot be stylistically pressed into any mould and, in addition to cheerful colourfulness, emits downward-directed, glare-free light for atmospheric ambient lighting. The inside of Cirque is painted white to optimise light reflection. Designer Clara von Zweigbergk comes from Sweden, studied graphic design and illustration and has worked both in Stockholm and internationally (Los Angeles, Milan). Today she has her own graphic design Studio and has been honoured with numerous awards, such as the Swedish Design Award 2012.
