Product description

Doo-Wop hanging light with attractive double shade The Doo-Wop hanging light is a design classic from the 1950s, which was developed by Louis Poulsen in cooperation with the Danish Navy's building administration and was widely used, particularly in canteens and offices. Its outstanding lighting properties with light directed both upwards and downwards and its glare-free light emission made it a particularly popular light source, which was marketed by Louis Poulsen until the 1980s. The inner, conical shade emits the light directly downwards, while the outer shade emits the light upwards and downwards and creates a soft lighting atmosphere. As at the beginning of the success story, the shades for Doo-Wop are still drawn by hand and fitted with a finely rolled Kante, which gives the shades a special volume. There is no question that the new edition of Doo-Wop with the colours brass (2012) and copper and stainless steel (2017) will leave an equally lasting impression.
