Flindt LED wall light – an elegant light source for indoor and outdoor use

The Flindt LED wall light completes the product range created by Danish designer Christian Flindt for lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen. Its simple, elegant design blends perfectly into its surroundings, both by day and in the dark. Flindt forms a perfect circle and features a concave light outlet at the top, creating a softly glowing ring of reflected light at the transition between concave and convex shapes, generated by two LED bulbs. Some of the light shines directly outwards, whilst some is distributed upwards and backwards, creating a crescent-shaped, indirect light pattern.

The lighting effects produce an attractive, powerful light output as well as an atmospheric, inviting ambience. The fixture itself is slightly raised from the wall mount, giving the impression that the wall light is floating. Flindt is the ideal choice both for lighting entrance areas, stairwells and corridors, and for illuminating building façades.

The versatile lighting, interior and industrial designer Christian Flindt (born 1972) has been collaborating with the Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen since 2006 and has already developed the Flindt 220 floor lamp, the Flindt 220 and 475 pendant lights, the Flindt bollard light and the LP Grand Family.

Louis Poulsen was founded in 1874 and has made the Scandinavian design principle ‘form follows function’ its guiding principle. Its lights are designed so that every detail serves a specific purpose, and their function and design reflect and enhance the rhythm of natural light. The product range has been developed in collaboration with contemporary and late designers and architects such as Poul Henningsen, Arne Jacobsen, Vilhelm Lauritzen, nendo/Oki Sato, Louise Campbell and many others.
