Flindt LED wall lamp with impressive lighting effect – Ø 40 cm

With the Flindt LED wall lamp, Danish designer Christian Flindt has created a perfectly balanced symbiosis of curves, proportions and light, using a combination of software technology, 3D printing and metal die casting. The wall lamp, a stylish addition to the Flindt lighting series, which was already developed in collaboration with the renowned lighting company Louis Poulsen, can be used not only indoors but also outside on walls thanks to its IP65 rating.

The Flindt wall lamp appears to float in front of the wall. This illusion is created by the fact that the elliptical lampshade, made of two overlapping elements, is slightly raised from the wall fixture. There is an opening on the upper side of the lampshade through which the light from the two built-in LEDs is distributed downwards. A gently glowing ring of reflected light is created at the transition between the convex and concave shapes. Since some of the light is also reflected backwards, there is also an indirect light component that creates a cosy ambience.

Christian Flindt founded his own studio a year after graduating from the Århus School of Architecture in 2002. He develops innovative furniture that demonstrates his courage to experiment, for example his sculptural chairs Orchid, Riple and Light Lounger. He has already exhibited at trade fairs around the world and has been honoured with the Bo Bedre design award in 2005, among others. The Flindt lighting series, which consists of a floor lamp, two pendant lights and a bollard light, was designed by him for the Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen and was awarded the Bolig Magasinet design prize.

The lighting company Louis Poulsen, which has existed since 1874, has adopted the Scandinavian design principle "form follows function" and, with its range of products based on designs by well-known designers and architects such as Poul Henningsen, Arne Jacobsen, Alfred Homann, Verner Panton, Øivind Slaatto, for simple and appealing design that creates a pleasant atmosphere.
