When designing NJP, the Japanese design studio nendo, which was founded by Oki Sato, placed particular emphasis on glare-free light, clear optics and uncomplicated operation - in short, functionality. The two hinges, which are positioned above the steel base and centrally in the powder-coated aluminium frame, are particularly striking. They allow the height and projection to be adjusted. The lampshade offers an additional option for adjusting the direction of the light emission. This is painted white on the inside for efficient light emission. The switch on the head of the light provides access to the Timer function (4 or 8 h) as well as a two-stage brightness selection. The table lamp is a product of the Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen, which has gained a wealth of experience in the production of high-quality lights since it was founded in 1874; NJP is also flawlessly realised.
