Organic-looking designer floor lamp Panthella


Designed by Verner Panton back in 1971, the Panthella floor lamp remains a very popular light source, with the focus here not only on creating atmospheric lighting for the living space, but also on making use of its unusual appearance as an interior design element.

The hemispherical lampshade is made of opal white acrylic using injection moulding and reflects the light downwards, with the material ensuring that most of the light is diffused into the room from the surface of the lampshade, creating a very atmospheric ambience. The base and housing are made of ABS plastic and are also manufactured using injection moulding technology. The overall effect is very organic, making the Panthella floor lamp a decorative eye-catcher even when switched off.

Designer Verner Panton was considered a colourful personality with a special approach to colour, form, light function and space. With his work, he wanted to stimulate people's imagination and encourage them to let more colour into their lives. The manufacturing company Louis Poulsen is passionate about creating designs that give form to light and attaches great importance to ensuring that its products are visually appealing both when switched on and off.
