PH 2/1 pendant light - a classic whose charm never fades The lighting effect of the PH 2/1 pendant light with its three-part glass shade is just as fantastic as its visual effect. The lampshades are made of mouth-blown, opalised, three-layered glass, the inside of each shade is sandblasted matt, which creates a soft, diffuse light, while the outside shines. The design of the PH 2/1 pendant light goes back to a design by the well-known Danish designer Poul Henningsen from 1925/26. Henningsen was not only a luminaire designer, he also worked as an architect, writer and journalist. His main interest, however, was light and how it could best be reproduced. He did pioneering work on the relationships between light structures, shadows, reflection and light rendition. His collaboration with the Louis Poulsen company lasted until his death in 1967. A fabulous light source that not only emits glare-free and cosy light, but also has a very decorative effect and can be combined with many living styles thanks to its attractive timelessness.
