Design by Poul Henningsen - PH 2/1 table lamp


The PH 2/1 table lamp was designed by Poul Henningsen, who fitted this table lamp with the classic triple lampshade system. The three lampshades are made of handblown, three-layered opal glass, which gleams on the outside and has sandblasted inner surfaces. This matt finish makes the light shine particularly warmly and creates a fantastically beautiful lighting mood.

PH 2/1 has a timelessly attractive design that blends into many different interior styles. Thanks to the reflective triple lampshade system, the light is primarily directed downwards with a high luminous efficiency. The base and the pole are made of brass and have a metallised finish that emphasises the elegant look of the light.

From 1925 until his death in 1967, the Danish designer Poul Henningsen worked with the lighting company Louis Poulsen to create lights according to the vision of Louis Poulsen, which is to shape light. Henningsen’s unique light design is still used by Louis Poulsen today.
