PH 3 1/2-2 1/2 floor lamp with a classic triple-lampshade system and a glare-free light
The stylish PH 3 1/2-2 1/2 floor lamp is part of a series of lights designed by the Danish designer Poul Henningsen. The lights in the series have a reflective triple-lampshade system that primarily emits its light downwards. The three lampshade elements are made of three-layered, high-quality, handblown opal glass that gleams on the outside, whilst the inside surface is matt due to sand blasting. This gives the emitted light a gentle effect and puts the room into an atmospheric, glare-free lighting atmosphere. The brass frame has an elegant finish, which makes the elegant look appear very timeless.
Poul Henningsen worked with the lighting company Louis Poulsen for decades (from 1925 to his death in 1967), with the common goal of giving shape to light and creating lights that appeal to the senses whether they are turned on or off.
