PH 3 1/2 1/2 - 3 pendant light - design icon with indirect light This pendant light is a true veteran among designer lights. The design by Danish designer, architect, journalist, author and critic Poul Henningsen, whose initials adorn the name of the light, dates back to 1925/26. Henningsen's 42-year collaboration with the renowned Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen has produced numerous lights that are as relevant today as they were then. Their common motif is the curved shade elements, which create an indirect, glare-free light. PH 3 1/2-2 1/2 has a triple-divided lampshade made of drawn aluminium. The upper element is almost flat, the centre one is domed and the lower one is shaped like a cylinder. A central opening runs through the three sections so that the light is reflected from the white lacquered underside of one section onto the powder-coated upper side of the section below. A cap with screws made of dark copper-plated brass serves as a support. Suspension from the canopy and power supply are provided by a cable with a white textile sheath.
