Design classic by Poul Henningsen: PH 5 Mini pendant light The PH 5 Mini pendant light is a design classic from Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen and was named after its creator Poul Henningsen. In addition to his role as a designer, Henningsen was also an author and journalist - a versatile Talent. From 1925 until his death in 1967, he was a designer for the traditional Danish company Louis Poulsen. In 1958, he designed the PH 5 and its little sister PH 5 Mini. With this model, he further developed his celebrated three-shade system, which was launched in 1926. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the PH 5 Mini, new colour variants of this classic luminaire have been released. The advantages and special features that make this pendant light stand out and have kept it on the market for decades are its one hundred percent glare-free design combined with optimum illumination - directed downwards as well as sideways and upwards. The special multiple shade system is conceived according to the Scandinavian design principle of "form follows function".
