Timeless Toldbod 250 pendant light from Louis Poulsen
Toldbod 250 has a linear and uncluttered design, which results in a high level of flexibility. It lights up a dining table or becomes a real eye-catcher in a room when installed in a group with lights at different heights.
The light consists of an elegant lampshade made of matt painted aluminium. The inside surface of the lampshade is white and acts as a kind of reflector that ensures a glare-free and even distribution of the light. It is precisely this property that underlines the mission of the brand manufacturer Louis Poulsen, which is to shape light and to light up a room without shining directly into people’s eyes.
The idea for Toldbod and the reflective inside surface is based on PH Eclipse, the last street lighting concept by Poul Henningsen. Henningsen was a Danish architect, writer and, above all, lighting designer who worked with Louis Poulsen from 1925 until his death.
