Adjustable wall lamp Malamata with dimmer switch and plug cable


Two slender articulated arms made of steel and a round diffuser made of opal white glass characterize the appearance of the wall lamp Malamata. With the help of the counterweight attached to the outer arm, which can be moved, the inclination of the arm and thus the position of the spherical shade can be adjusted up and down as desired. Releasing and locking the weight is done by a push button that tensions a spring.

A switch is integrated on the plug supply line, via which Malamata can be switched on and off as well as dimmed. For this purpose, a dimmable LED lamp is required.

The Malamata lamp series was designed by Kfir Schwalb and Orit Magia (Studio shulab). The two designers are from Israel; the name Malamata refers to the meaning of "above" and "below" in their native Hebrew language and also describes the direction of movement when adjusting the luminaire design. The renowned Italian company Luceplan is responsible for the production.
