The Flo LED floor lamp in aluminium and steel, featuring a minimalist design


The series of lights called Flo is the result of the first collaboration between the manufacturer Lumina Italia and Foster + Partners, one of the world’s best-known architectural practices. In designing this minimalist floor lamp, with its streamlined, curved shape made of steel and aluminium, all superfluous moving parts have been removed; nevertheless, it remains highly adjustable thanks to the arm, which can be tilted by 120°, and the head, which can be rotated by 300°. Furthermore, the light can be adjusted to two brightness levels using the switch fitted to the head.

The architectural firm Foster & Partners designed a series of lights called Flo in 2011 for the Italian lighting company LUMINA. It is one of the world’s best-known architectural firms; its most famous projects include the redesigns of the Reichstag in Berlin and Wembley Stadium in London, as well as the Swiss Re headquarters in London (Swiss Re Tower) and Apple Park in California.
