Indirectly shining LED wall lamp Cellule - play of light and shadow


The wall lamp Cellule, manufactured by the Italian company Martinelli Luce, consists of a flat, white lacquered aluminium plate in a square basic shape, which is composed of numerous roundish elements in different sizes. The designers Donia Maaoui and Michel Boucquillon designed this furnishing element according to the model of organic tissue, which is built from a multitude of individual cells. The LEDs integrated at the back behind a methacrylate diffuser illuminate the wall and shine indirectly through the small gaps of the apparent cell structure, creating an appealing effect of light and dark sections.
