Cavity Recessed designer recessed ceiling light with dimmable LEDs


In the Cavity Recessed LED recessed ceiling light from serien.lighting, the curved aluminium body replaces the reflector that recessed lights and downlights are normally equipped with to direct the light. Due to the hollow space (hence the name Cavity), the LEDs sit relatively deep in the body and the light is emitted glare-free and directed downwards via the trumpet-shaped light outlet. Cavity Recessed is dimmable via an external phase cut trailing edge dimmer.

Jean-Marc da Costa and Manfred Wolf are not only the designers of this light, they are also the founders of serien.lighting. In 1985, the two fellow students joined forces and founded their own lighting company as industrial designers, which is now internationally renowned. The lights from serien.lighting are characterised by a mostly simple but very sophisticated design, in which technology and design form a perfect symbiosis.
