Curling LED pendant light with handblown glass shade

The Curling LED pendant light perfectly combines state-of-the-art LED technology with a timelessly elegant design. Clever design details and a specially cut optical insert, which is magnetically attached directly beneath the LEDs, provide soft direct light with good colour rendering, ensuring pleasant task lighting in both public spaces and private living areas. The patented replacement system allows the LED unit to be replaced; however, given an average operating time of 6 hours a day, this is not expected to be necessary for around 10 years.

The delicate, clear glass body, in a flat cylindrical shape, is handblown. The housing of the LED unit, like the canopy, is made of polished aluminium. The luminaire is suspended using slender steel cables, the length of which can be adjusted during installation. The glass shade is dishwasher-safe; it can be removed and refitted without tools thanks to a bayonet fitting.

The Curling series of lights was designed by Jean-Marc da Costa and Manfred Wolf, who jointly founded serien.lighting in 1985. The company is renowned for intelligent lighting solutions featuring a minimalist, modern design and sophisticated lighting effects. The company has already received numerous awards for the Curling series of lights, including the German Design Award 2018.
