PurityCapsule – a table lamp and UV-C disinfection system in one

Externally, the PurityCapsule appears as a modern-looking accessory. A base with a gently curved rim supports a bulbous dome with a metallised finish, which gives the viewer a glimpse of the silver, coral-shaped structure inside.

The table lamp features two separate light sources. A G9 LED (supplied) located beneath the Basis casts ambient light onto the lamp’s surface. Inside is a 2G7 tube LED bulb, which creates a truly extraordinary atmosphere with its shimmering blue light, making the interior of the dome appear like a world from another dimension.

The tube bulb not only gives PurityCapsule its distinctive look, but also serves to disinfect surfaces using UVC light. Small everyday items such as keys, smartphones, wallets, glasses or jewellery can be placed against the coral element; within just 30 seconds, 99.99% of the bacteria and viruses on these surfaces are rendered harmless (scientifically proven). PurityCapsule can therefore effectively reduce the risk of transmitting infectious diseases such as flu or the common cold via objects contaminated with germs. As the dome’s coating prevents harmful light from escaping, the UV-C function can be used safely whilst people are present. Combining an attractive design with practical surface disinfection, PurityCapsule is a contemporary piece of furniture for modern private homes, as well as for public and commercial reception and lounge areas.
