Timeless design classic - the Tolomeo Micro floor lamp


The design and functionality of the Tolomeo light series was developed for Artemide at the end of the 1980s. Leading the project was architect Michele de Lucchi, whose motivation was to develop the perfect desk lamp for himself. Together with Giancarlo Fassina, the award-winning lighting series was created today, which has lost nothing of its fascination to this day.

The Tolomeo Micro floor lamp was developed almost simultaneously with the desk light. It has the typical matt anodized aluminium lampshade, which can be rotated and adjusted as desired. This is made possible thanks to a flexible joint and small rod, which makes it very easy to adjust the lampshade. But the two joints on the light body represent the really special feature, which consists of an aluminium-coated steel base. Through these movable interfaces, the floor lamp can be put into almost any position. All this makes the Tolomeo Micro floor lamp an ideal light for the study, living room or anywhere where light is needed for reading.
