The soft and light Eos Evia pendant light with a goose-feather shade
The extravagant lampshade of the Eos Evia pendant light is covered from top to bottom with goose feathers, which lend it its very special lightness. On the one hand, the light is reminiscent of harmless fluffy clouds against an otherwise blue sky; on the other hand, the shape of the Eos Evia is clearly inspired by that of a beehive. But neither association is surprising, as the Danish label UMAGE, which designs and manufactures these lights, is known for designs that reflect, amongst other things, the Scandinavian connection to nature.
The goose feathers used for the lampshades in the Eos series do not come from live animals, but are a by-product of the food industry. There, they would otherwise be incinerated. At UMAGE, this apparent waste product is put to good use.
