Unterlinden small LED pendant light in the vintage style


This LED pendant light was originally designed for museums. It combines a vintage look with modern technology. The small lampshade is made completely of brass, its bronze patina gives it a tailored old look. The structure of the material is also reminiscent of wood grain. So you might think at first glance, the lampshade is made of dark wood. Thanks to its dimensions Unterlinden is particularly suitable for use over a bar or counter, where several lights can be hung in series.

The design comes from Swiss design studio Herzog De Meuron. Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron founded the studio in Basel in 1978, which has since developed into an international team of designers with branches in Hamburg, London, Madrid and New York. Herzog De Meuron’s projects include both small commissions such as private homes as well as large urban projects such as stadiums and museums. The studio designed the Unterlinden light series for the designer lighting manufacturer Artemide. The high-quality lights of the Italian company have been honoured with awards and prizes for years for their innovative designs and functions.
