Award-winning LED pendant lamp Guise by designer Stefan Dietz

The LED pendant lamp Guise is not only a visual highlight above a dining table or bar, but it is also a fascination for the eye. This is because, for the observer, the light does not seem to emanate from an illuminant, but from the material itself. This effect is achieved by a precision cut of the glass, which refracts the light of a seemingly invisible LED strip and thus shines in an intense light. In contrast, when switched off, Guise almost completely blends with its surroundings due to its transparency. The idea for the design comes from the German designer Stefan Diez, who designed the lamp for the Spanish brand manufacturer Vibia and received several prestigious awards for his work.
The glass used is borosilicate glass, which is light and at the same time resistant. The glass is handmade by Schott AG and may have small air bubbles, inclusions or scratches due to the melting process and glass properties. However, this in no way implies inferior quality, but is a guarantee of careful manufacturing and makes each luminaire unique.
